Voltas' latest landmark MEP project : Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.

Voltas recently completed and delivered MEP works at Abu Dhabi’s iconic Etihad Towers, including supply, installation, testing and commissioning of MEP services for towers 1, 2 and 3, podiums, basement and a floating restaurant.

The scope of works included 12,500 TR HVAC | car park ventilation | 60 mW high voltage network | low voltage electrical system | ELV systems encompassing BMS • CCTV • EACS • audio/video intercoms • SMATVs • DATA/TELs • PA | water supply & sewerage | drainage | fuel oil supply | firefighting & fire suppression system | hot and cold water systems.

Voltas’ value-engineering initiatives yielded savings of 12% on the contracted value. They ranged from redesign of power distribution through bus-bar risers, to creation of intermediate pumping stations. Various green initiatives too bore fruit: a 5223 kW drop in building load, 18-20% less power consumption for fresh air cooling, 33% lowering of utility costs...and many more green dividends.

The project was executed in extensive detail with comprehensive processes for logistics, workforce scheduling and routing, training and development in project-specific skills, and rigorous standards of health, security and safety.

The client/owner is His Highness Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, with M/s Arabian Construction Co. as the main contractor. Voltas worked closely with lead designers M/s Design By Innovation, and MEP consultants M/s Normal Disney & Young.

With the Etihad Towers, Voltas has once again proven its ability to meet multiple challenges in varied environments...and added to its rich legacy of building monumental edifices across the landscape of the region.
