Trackpactor for iron ore - a first in India

Having made a modest beginning in the crushing business in 2001, Voltas Mining & Construction Equipment (M&CE) has reached another milestone in a short span by introducing the state-of-the-art impactor on tracks - known as the Trackpactor, from Terex-Pegson. The product is designed for application in the iron ore sector, which again is a new segment entry for Voltas.

Voltas was the first in India to introduce the equipment, by securing the first order valued at approx Rs 1.5 crores, placed by V.S. Lad for an iron ore application in Hospet, near Bellary in Karnataka. This was won against stiff competition from Metso & Sandvik. With this launch, Voltas M&CE has strengthened its leadership in the track crushing plants business, with over 80% market share.
