The Mining & Construction Equipment (M&CE) business bagged an order for 4 Hyundai wheeled excavators (Model R 200 W-7), from Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, the flagship company of the Jaypee Group. This is the the first time that wheeled excavators have been imported into India, as domestic manufacturers do not offer this product range.

The excavators are be used in Jaiprakash's Rewa and Himachal cement plants.

In 2004, Voltas supplied two Kobelco cranes to the Jay Pee Cement plant at Rewa, M.P. The latest order is the result of the customer's deep satisfaction with product performance and service support.

This order imparts considerable importance to Voltas’ Hyundai product range, as Jaypee Group is one of the largest buyers of excavators in India with a large fleet of Komatsu, CAT and Hitachi excavators.
