Voltas' Mining & Construction Equipment team has secured India's first ever order for Terex (UK) Dump Trucks, model TR100. The order for seven units was placed by Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., New Delhi, for use in excavation at their upcoming iron ore mines in Barbil, Orissa.

In addition, Jindal also placed an order for two O&K Hydraulic shovels (model RH-120).

Both orders were won against fierce competition from L&T-Komatsu, TIL-Caterpillar, Telcon-Hitachi, Liebherr and other well-known players.
