Ashok Soni once again among India's most 'Value'able CEOs
For the second year running, our MD has been placed among the top 15 rankers
in the India's Most 'Value'able CEOs survey conducted by Businessworld*.
Specifically, he has been placed 12th in the value ranking based on various
performance parameters of the company, and 1st in the rankings by sector
(Industrials) based on compensation per point.
Another Tata company CEO who also figures in the top 15 value ranking
is Prasad R. Menon of Tata Power (10th).
The rankings were based on parameters such as Sales Performance and Profit
Performance for the three-year period 1st April 2007 to 31st March 2009;
Stock Price Performance from 31st March to 30th October 2009; and Market
Capitalization as on 30th October 2009.
In addition, compensation for the CEO was captured, and a score of compensation
per point calculated to arrive at a composite measure of CEO compensation.
The company whose CEO receives the lowest compensation per point is the
one that gives shareholders the most bang for their buck: in other words,
the most 'value'able CEO.
