Voltas Water Solutions launches pure water ATM dispensers
Part of a range of standard package water & wastewater treatment systems

Voltas Water Solutions Pvt Ltd (VWS) has launched Voltas Water ATMs serving pure potable water at no more than 20p per litre. The ATMs are a significant part of a comprehensive range that includes package RO water purifiers, water purifiers & dispensers, skid mounted RO systems and sewage treatment plants, focused on relieving the growing water stress in over 50% of India, especially in rural areas.

VWS is a 50:50 Joint Venture between Voltas Limited and Dow Chemical Pacific (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (a member of the Dow Group of Companies), bringing together Voltas' 'smart' engineering, brand and marketing strengths, and the Dow Group's advanced water science. VWS works towards improving health and hygiene in society, assisting the growth of water-dependent enterprises, and making water purification more economical and eco-friendly, with point-of-entry systems to mass treat water before distribution to individual lines. Towards this objective, the Company deploys its superior technological expertise in the form of trustworthy high-quality standard package products for water and waste water treatment of upto 200 litres/hour. Backed by reliable service support, they cater to the water needs of residential/ commercial complexes, light industrial clusters and rural areas.

The Voltas Water ATM is a conveniently located coin- or Smart-Card-operated dispenser that can serve pure safe water, at a mere 10-20p per litre. It relieves India's village womenfolk from spending hours daily in fetching and carrying water, often from ground-water sources that are dangerously contaminated in 54% of rural districts. The female villagers are thus spared time to focus on their education, and other opportunities for livelihood. They are also freed from fears of water-borne health hazards, which take a high toll, especially in infant mortality.

With its distinctive features - 6 stages of filtration, reverse osmosis, and reduction of bacteria by 99.99 % - Voltas Water ATM is a safe, durable and secure source of purified drinking water for communities and public places.


The new VWS products have been engineered to provide maximum output and excellent performance along with the lowest-in-class footprint. They are distinguished by a 'Smart' monitoring feature, that helps users to stay connected with the product. Users can monitor the system from any location, using the Voltas Water Smart Monitoring App, and through web access from PCs or tablets. VWS products thus provide real time data of daily operations, as well as alarms in case of emergency. A further edge is the use of FILMTEC™ RO elements, which have the lowest warranty and failure rates.
