Effective September 22, 2025, the GST rate on air conditioners has been reduced from 28% to 18%, making air conditioners more
affordable for Indian consumers.

Air conditioners were previously classified as luxury items with a 28% GST rate, but with changing climate and increased need, they are now categorized under essential goods with an 18% slab.

Customers can exchange old AC models for a Cashback up to Rs 5000. The old AC is picked up from the customer’s location, the cash back is processed by our authorized partner and the new AC must be installed by Voltas service provider.

Customers initiate the process by scanning a QR code or visiting the exchange portal, enter product and details such as name, phone number, address etc, accept terms, verify via OTP, and finalize the exchange booking.

Bank of Baroda, HDFC, Federal Bank, and Yes Bank are part of the cashback offer, which can reach up to Rs 4000, subject to payment via eligible credit/debit cards or EMI transactions.

Yes, reduced rate of GST is applicable in terms of Government regulations and can be combined with the exchange offer, cashback from Banks, coupon discounts, free installation, special Festive discount and extended warranty for maximum benefits.
