Cancellation, Return and Refund


Introduction: 

At VOLTAS Limited (‘Voltas/We/Our’), We are committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction through reliable products and service. However, We, acknowledge that certain situations may necessitate the cancellation of orders or service requests by our customers.  This Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy  clearly defines the rights, responsibilities, and procedures involved in cancelling a product purchase or a service engagement with VOLTAS. It outlines the acceptable timelines, applicable charges, refund conditions, and the methods through which a cancellation may be initiated and executed. 

Capitalized terms used herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the ‘Terms of Use’ and ‘Privacy Notice’. 

 

Cancellation of Orders: Cancellation can occur under the following circumstances: 

  1. Pre-Dispatch Cancellation: Customers have the right to cancel a product/order before the product has been dispatched.
  2. Post-Delivery Return/Replacement: Customers also have the right to return or replace the product once it has been delivered. This return or replacement is governed by our 'Return/Replacement and Refund Policy'. 

 

Pre-Dispatch Cancellation:    Cancellation: 

Customers can cancel their order through Customer Care (see the Contact Us section below) within 24-48 hours of placing it, as long as it hasn't been dispatched or assigned for execution. Note that there may be a delay between dispatch and the delivery of dispatch confirmation email. VOLTAS will make the final determination on whether an order was dispatched before the cancellation request and its decision shall be final. 

 

Refund: 

 

Refunds for pre-dispatch cancellation will be processed within 7 business days, depending on the payment method usedRefunds if any, shall be made to the same payment method or issuing bank from where the initial payment was received. VOLTAS may, at its sole discretion, refuse to provide refunds to an alternative account. In case of cancellation of an Order by Customer, VOLTAS shall refund the entire amount paid by the Customer(s), for the product, without any deductions.

After-dispatch cancellation:

VOLTAS does not accept any cancellation once the product/item is dispatched to the Customers. 


Post-Delivery

Return/Replacement: 

 


Once a product has been delivered and accepted by the Customers, it cannot be cancelled by the Customers. Such cancellation will be treated as return of the product.  

For return of a product (upon delivery) please refer to Our Return/Replacement and Refund policy.  

Refund 

Refund for product returns will be governed by ‘Return/Replacement and Refund policy’ 


 

Other terms: 

  1. Orders on the Platform(s) can only be cancelled before dispatch in terms of this policy.
  2. Customers can cancel their Order online by sending Voltas an Order cancellation request from Contact Us section.
  3. Customers should contact their issuer bank if the cancelled Order was placed on EMI. Any interest or closure fees assessed on EMI cancellation will not be borne by VOLTAS or any associated entity of VOLTAS.
  4. If the cancelled Order was placed at a special price, under cash back, exchange, upgrade or any other offer, the same offer benefit can be availed on a new transaction only after successful processing of refund. The new transaction should also meet all offer terms to be eligible for offer benefits again.
  5. In a rare case if a cancelled order is still delivered, please raise a return request within 24 hours at VOLTAS’ Web Lounge using our Contact Us section. Return will be taken only if product is in packed condition and not installed and not used with the brand seal intact. 


Cancellation of
service request:
 

A customer can also raise a service request for services such as installation request, AMC, repair request, demo request, re-installation, preventive service request etc. 

The customer will be required to register a service request on the ‘Contact Us’ section, against which the customer will be granted a Service Request Number (SRN). VOLTAS’ team will contact the customer pursuant to such SRN and customer will have the right to accept/reject the SRN/service request before availing such service. Upon such rejection, VOLTAS will initiate cancellation request of SRN. 

If the customer is not reachable for multiple attempts, VOLTAS  will propose a cancellation of SRN and such cancellation proposal will be shared with the customer, for further action by the customer. In such case the customer will have the right to accept/reject/deny the service. 

No prepayment of service charges will be required to be paid by the customer. However, if any technician reaches the customer (upon customers request) and the customer then refuses or cancels the service, the customer will be required to pay visiting charges to the technician.  


Modifications:
 

VOLTAS reserves the right to amend, update, or modify this Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy at its sole discretion. Any revisions will be published on the official website, and where necessary, customer(s) may be notified via registered contact methods. It is the customer(s) responsibility to stay informed of the latest policy before placing Orders or scheduling services.
