Energy Manager offering through the Voltas Intelligence app, conserves energy based on targets set by the user and notifies when the threshold is crossed. The user can set billing start date, daily usage based on their pattern in hours, and can select the energy consumption mode they prefer (ranging from Power saver to performance heavy). Basis this the system calculates the target consumption limit and keeps a track of the consumption.
Budget alerts are available at predefined thresholds (50%, 75%, 100%). Energy Manager would also show daily cumulative usage, where the user can see a graph of how much has the consumption of units been.

Step 1: Set Your Monthly Energy Limit

  • Through the app, define the maximum electricity units (kWh) you want your AC to consume each month.
  • Helps you track energy usage within your planned electricity budget.
  • Provides complete visibility into your product's energy consumption.

Step 2: Unrestricted Usage of Your Product

  • Select your preferred temperature throughout the month.
  • Use any mode, fan speed, swing setting, or feature.
  • No compromise on comfort or performance.

Step 3: Smart Energy Monitoring Begins

  • Once activated, Energy Manager continuously monitors the AC's energy consumption against your set monthly limit.
  • Tracks energy usage intelligently in the background without affecting normal operation.
  • Provides ongoing visibility into consumption throughout the month.

Step 4: 50% Consumption Alert

  • Notification is sent when 50% of your monthly energy limit is consumed.
  • Acts as an early reminder.
  • Allows you to adjust usage if required.

Step 5: 75% Consumption Alert

  • Notification is sent when 75% of the set energy limit is reached.
  • Indicates that a significant portion of the monthly limit has been utilized.
  • Encourages optimized energy usage.

Step 6: 100% Consumption Alert

  • Notification is sent when 100% of the monthly energy limit is consumed.
  • Informs you that the energy target for the month has been fully utilized.

Step 7: AC Continues to Function Normally

  • The AC does not switch off after reaching the energy limit.
  • Cooling performance remains unchanged.
  • All selected settings continue to work normally.
  • Alerts are purely informational and designed to increase awareness.
